Loaded Dervish Longboard - The evil cousin to the Vanguard.

With a lower center of gravity and a torsionally stiff design, the Dervishes are built to hold an edge and maximize energy return.

A drop-thru carver designed to work with 70mm+ wheels and the most reverse kingpin geometry trucks which includes R-IIs, Holey’s, Paris, Bear, and a couple more that are still in development. Inspired by ancient Persian Islamic art, we’ve named this board the “Dervish” as a reference to the Whirling Dervishes. A sub-sect of Sufism (Mystical Islam), the Dervishes are famous for their ritual whirling dances, an aerobic flowing movement designed to produce spiritual ecstasy (and deep carves). The Dervish also has a small nose and tail that allows you to bust out manuals, nose manuals, shovits and do all sorts of madness. Plenty of room to cross-step and dance to make the ladies or men swoon. This board is super easy to slide out because it is low to the ground and is very comfortable under your feet when going fast. Get overly excited.

The Loaded Board’s mission is to enhance the conscious experience of flow and the love of the ride. Through enhancing the experience of ones body in nature we hope to stimulate awareness of the impact we make on our environment and instigate creative responses.

Design & Construction - Our skate decks are built around the trucks and wheels in order to createsynergistic carving systems. Parsimony drives our design. Achieving function in the most reduced fashion leads to better and more beautiful product and also allows us to minimise toxicity and promote sustainability. Our construction combines aerospace / snowboard construction with tried and true skateboard curvatures. Concave and camber, a vert lam bamboo core sandwiched between triaxle fibreglass and epoxy, functional shapes, and top quality components achieve lively composite skateboards designed to skate a variety of terrain with enhanced control.

Bamboo - We are excited and proud to introduce Bamboo as our new core material. Structurally, Bamboo enhances the energy retention and rebound of our boards making them even more Loaded. They are stronger, lighter and more durable. Further, since Bamboo is a grass, it is a more renewable resource, growing 10 times quicker than Oak. Bamboo continues growing after being cut – leading to less environmental damage due to new growth and associated forest fire hazards. All this allows us to reduce the toxicity in the production of our cores. Hands down, it’s more fun to ride on grass.

Further Information - Play around with kingpin tightness to adjust the looseness of the trucks. Bushings can be swapped out to adjust the ride as well. We recommend the Tracker Stimulators, and Bones Hardcore Bushings (although they are a little low for the randals). Be sure to find a wheel appropriate for your riding style and desired speed. Placing (cut to size) riserpads between the top of the deck and the truck baseplate will lower the board even further.
