In the back of a split-screen VW Camper Van, parked up on Fistral Beach in Newquay back in 1962, Dennis Cross made the decision that surfing in the Atlantic was just too cold and something needed to be done. With is passion for surfing, he decided that he was that man and so set about designing the first custom-built wetsuit for surfers. Demand grew, production shifted to bigger premises and Gul built a reputation for the warmest and most flexible suits on the market.
