When it comes to head protection, only someone that has experienced a couple of bumps can truly appreciate what’s required. Back in July 2004, Dennis Leedom founded Bern Unlimited. As an avid skier, biker, snowboarder, and developing park skater he wanted to create products that did the job they were set out to do. With his roots firmly set in the protective headwear market and having experienced falls, used a number of different helmets and had a hand in developing the Leedom helmet brand from 1997-2003, Leedom’s commitment to safety meant that his venture was always going to be about quality and reliability.
Then, in 2004 the vision came! Leedom decided to manufacture a helmet that was versatile enough to use for various different sports. From humble beginnings of an unfinished barn for a warehouse, to team riders winning Olympic Gold medals, Bern is a brand that’s here to stay!
