Snowboarders need fresh powder to enjoy carving to perfection, surfers need clean oceans to surf the waves and skaters need clean air to fill their lungs as they cruise the asphalt, so manufacturers needed to lessen their impact on the environment that they rely upon. Arbor set about doing this by limiting and replacing as many materials in their products as possible, donating profits to protection and restoration projects and charities.
